San Francisco Airport Guide to San Francisco Airport (SFO)

San Francisco Airport AirTrain

Transfer between terminals

Given the circular structure of SFO Airport, the Red-line of the Air Train, which stands for an automated people mover, may help passengers to move from all terminals and their garages, plus the Blue-line of the Air Train connects the airport terminals with the rental car facility and terminal garages.

The Long-Term Parking Garage isn’t connected to the terminals by the Air Train. Alternatively, you may take one of the 24-hours shuttle buses to the long-term parking facility. Frequency: Every 5 minutes (from 04:15 am to 00:15 am) up to 15 minutes (from 00:15 am to 04:15 am).

Note you can connect to the BART at Garage G by taking either the Red-line of the Blue-line.

To complete a lap takes only minutes between stops.

Opening hours: 24 hours. Frequency: 4 minutes.

On the other hand, it is possible to transfer between terminal by foot. It is worth to go walking if going from the International Terminal to Terminal 3 (Gate 60 to 90 United).
